Afternoon ‘low’ tea is something Alicion has added for guests as a non traditional service. Coffee and teas are available alongside a choice of a daily beverage. Christopher also makes a daily sweet item and savoury bite, just a little something to keep you feeling comfortable until dinner at one of Lunenburg’s many great restaurants.
odds and ends
Our personal body products and tissues are all rated eco-friendly and biodegradable, the body wash and shampoo also being scent free. Our own beauty soap is hand wrapped in Nova Scotia and made from goats’ milk and oatmeal - sounds good enough to eat!
Serving from 8 until 10, we invite guests to come down at their convenient time so that we are able to make sure breakfast is properly ready. Our style at Alicion is informal and relaxed, so don’t expect to find a table full of knives, forks, and Victorian arcanery! We strive to use as much locally sourced food as possible. Getting to our Thursday’s Farmer’s Market is not always feasible, so we have arrangements with a local butcher who makes our sausages, cures the local breakfast ham, and supplies our free-range eggs. We make our own jams and use wild NS blueberries where called for. Christopher bakes every day, so our tea cakes and morning biscuits are fresh!
