To protect the safety of our guests and comply with provincial guidelines, we require all guests to be double vaccinated before staying at Alicion.
What a year we are all facing! Who could have predicted that in our second year of living in Lunenburg and running this beautiful bed and breakfast, the world would go into lock-down. Our lives have all been changed -perhaps forever- as we learn to understand and live with a new enemy. We strongly believe, however, that we will overcome this adversity and return to engage in what we all love most: our work, recreation, travel, and food.
While that day of freedom may be a way off, tentative steps are being made to help workers, families, and governments return to a degree of normalcy. We also think that there will be room for a little summering in Lunenburg.
So, what can Alicion Bed & Breakfast do?
Alicion Bed & Breakfast is a business which must attract and retain the trust of its guests. We are in the enviable position of having lots of outdoor and verandah space for our guests to enjoy, together with large airy rooms, all en-suite. Working with our housekeeper, we have implemented a more rigid cleaning routine in public areas, and will have sanitizers on site to be used for wiping down handles, railings, etc.
Most important, we will be changing the breakfast service. While we now have restored the communal dining table, gone will be the buffet of cereal, fruit, and juices, but -rest assured- Christopher's excellent cuisine will be available on an a la carte basis, served from the kitchen.
We hope you will make a trip to Lunenburg this year and we promise to do what we can to make your stay memorable.
